EVELINE O’FLAHERTY

Eveline O’Flaherty is a former teacher and administrator for Keewatin Patricia District School Board. Her community involvement includes serving as President for Retired Teachers Organization District Executive.

GEOFFREY GILLON

Geoffrey Gillon, Executive Director for the Rainy River Future Development Corporation (RRFDC). Holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Winnipeg and gained his Economic Development Fellowship from the University of Waterloo. He has been involved with numerous economic development projects, such as broadband initiatives, tile drainage and land clearing projects. Geoffrey has also served as President of the Northwestern Ontario Development Network (NODN), and President of the Economic Developer’s Council of Ontario (EDCO). He was the Sponsorship Chair of the 908 “Rainy Lake” Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron from 2003 to 2016 and is currently a Director on the Rainy Lake Fisheries Charity Trust. In the fall of 2019, he was appointed to the Confederation College Board of Governors. He has a deep attachment to the Rainy River District and Northwestern Ontario.

DAVID PAXTON

David Paxton is a Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Thunder Bay, and a former Teacher for Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board. David’s community involvement includes serving as a Treasurer/Board Member for Emergency North Training (Fire Con).

KIMBERLY SMITH

Kimberly Smith is the Principal at Colliers Project Leaders’ Thunder Bay office. Kimberly is an industry-leading project leader with more than 18 years of experience in delivering various types of complex construction projects. As a Principal with Colliers Project Leaders, Kimberly is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the project management team delivering building and infrastructure projects on behalf of our clients. Kimberly holds a Professional Project Manager (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) received in 2013. Kimberly is a Confederation College alumni, who received her diploma from the Instrumentation Engineering Technician Program in 2000. Kimberly also obtained her Instrumentation Engineering Technologist diploma in 2001 from Cambrian College. Kimberly’s professional experience includes multi-disciplinary engineering, multi-vendor management, construction management, and project management in various sectors, including government, pulp and paper, mining, healthcare, and Indigenous communities.
