Health Unit Board - Simcoe Muskoka District

PETER WILLMOTT

Peter Willmott is a former Director of Health Protection Services with the Regional Municipality of Halton Health Department. Dr. Willmott's community involvement includes serving as Past Chairman and current member of the Wasaga Beach Healthy Community Network, as Past President and Board Chairman of the Environment Network and as a member and Vice-Chair of the Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. He holds a diploma in Public Health Inspection from South East London Technical College (UK), a diploma in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Master in Environmental Studies degree in Health Systems Management from York University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Strategic Decision Making and Performance Management from the University of Lincoln (UK).

STEPHEN KINSELLA

Stephen Kinsella has been involved in the area of law enforcement for over 30 years; as a police officer, prosecutor, college professor and manager of municipal law enforcement. He has sat on various boards including Vice-President and Director of the Education and Municipal Law Enforcement Association of Ontario. Currently, Mr. Kinsella sits on the Barrie Simcoe Muskoka Criminal Youth Justice Committee (since 2000), is Chair of Barrie Property Standards Appeal Committee, and is Vice-Chair of the Barrie Business Licence Appeal Committee and the Council Remuneration Committee. Mr. Kinsella is a certified Municipal Manager III, has been a member of management teams of municipal governments and has worked with councils and local courts. Stephen is the Chair of the Ontario College of Opticians of Ontario and a provincial appointee.

SCOTT WARNOCK

is the former Mayor for the Township of Tay. He is also the Chair of the Board at Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. His community involvement includes volunteer work for the Canadian Cancer Society as well as Victoria Harbour Minor Baseball.

LARRY OEHM

is a Self-Employed Dentist. He is a former Clinical Instructor with the Faculty of Dentistry. His community involvement includes serving as a member for the Ontario Dental Association and The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

ANITA DUBEAU

My name is Anita Dubeau. I have always been involved in my community, as a young adult, joining the Girl Guides of Canada in different leadership capacities, my involvement in other organizations followed. My years with the Rotary Club of Penetanguishene have been most rewarding. I have worked on organizing committees and worked on several other boards on behalf of the public in order to better our community. I was a Municipal Elected Official for some years. I am interested in all aspects of my community. I give of myself and except nothing in return.

SONDRA READ

Sondra Read grew up cottaging in Parry Sound-Muskoka, moving to Huntsville in 1999 where she raised four children all active in community sports, theatre and music, providing many volunteer opportunities. Graduating from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Journalism and Honours Political Science she launched her career as a news and sports reporter in Hamilton radio (CKOC/CKLH) where she covered professional sports, and politics, interviewing several Prime Ministers. As Constituency Manager for the Parry Sound-Muskoka MP for 13 years she worked with many community organizations, as well as refugee and indigenous groups, in the creation of nursing stations and optical care within their communities. She's worked with local, national and international media, managed social media, produced a political show and was a key organizer and delegate to the 2010 G8 in Huntsville but believes guiding constituents in accessing government services was some of her most fulfilling work.
