Lake Simcoe Science Committee

MARVIN GEIST

Born in March of 1947 Marvin Geist took his first dip at the Innisfil family cottage on Lake Simcoe at just three months of age. That was the beginning of his lifelong love of Lake Simcoe. In the 1970s, as a young Lawyer he was president of the Belle Cedar Ratepayers Association representing the concerns of residents along the Lake Simcoe Shoreline. He was a member of the Innisfil Panning Board which gave him experience and insight into procedures involving severances, land designations, development. rezoning and environment matters. He is presently the President and member of the Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation. Throughout his career, he has continued working to help protect and conserve the land and water of the Lake Simcoe watershed.

WILLIAM NAPIER

Mr. William Napier, is President of W. A. NAPIER CONSULTING LTD. He has worked for both the private and public sector for the past four decades. He has held executive positions in the sustainability field for a number of companies operating globally. Mr. Napier hold a Master of Science degree (Laurentian), a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Waterloo). Mr. Napier is former Chair of the Kawartha Lakes Steward Association and resides in Trent Lakes ON.

is an Executive Director for Greenland Engineering & Technologies Group. He is a former principal and water resources team leader for Stantec Consulting Ltd. His community involvement includes serving as a member for The Lake Simcoe and South Georgian Bay Clean-up Fund's Public Advisory Committee.
