Council of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

CHISANGA CHEKWE

Chisanga P Chekwe is President of the Masomo Education Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to low income students. Before that he served as Deputy Minister of the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship Immigration and International Trade. He was previously Chair of the Social Benefits Tribunal. In 1998, he became founding Chair and CEO of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. Other roles include Chair and CEO of Ontario Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. In 1994 he served as a United Nations Observer and Adjudication Officer to the historic South African election. Two years later he supervised the election in Bosnia. Chisanga read law at Birmingham University in England. A Rhodes Scholar, he received an LL.M from the University of London, and B.A. and M.A. degrees in philosophy, politics, and economics from Oxford University. In 2016, he obtained the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Chisanga is the author of four books and several papers.

DR. ALEXIA POLILLO

Dr. Alexia Polillo received her PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Ottawa and is completing her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience with community and health services research and helped lead small- and large-scale evaluations of community and outpatient mental health services in Waterloo, Brantford, Ottawa, and Toronto. She has published over 15 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to 8 technical reports used to support service providers and community mental health agencies, presented her work at conferences, and received 11 institutional awards and federal and provincial scholarships.

JOHN E FLEMING

John Fleming is the Owner/Chief Executive Officer for John Fleming Occasional Consulting Inc., an Integrity Commissioner for the Town of Caledon. He is a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of Sheridan College.

MOLLY LUU

Molly Luu is a Tax Controversy lawyer practicing as part of a national law firm called Miller Thomson LLP in the Toronto Office. Before joining Miller Thomson LLP, Molly completed her articles at a national law firm in Toronto. After which, she spent a year as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Justice. She then joined a business law boutique where she practiced civil and tax litigation as an associate and later as a partner. Molly has a wide range of experience working in professional negligence law. In particular, she spent many years working as investigative counsel, reviewing complex tax matters. Molly is honored to be of service to children, families, and the greater public by attending to the public's complaints respecting members of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

CARRIE MCEACHRAN

Carrie McEachran is the Executive Director of Sarnia-Lambton Rebound. Mrs. McEachran carries a master’s degree in leadership from Royal Roads University, a developmental services worker diploma from Loyalist College and a non-profit management certificate for 16 years including a team as President of the Rotary Club of Sarnia. She has served previous terms on boards of director for North Lambton Community Health Centre, Sarnia-Lamton Physician Recruitment Taskforce and a provincial board member for PAVRO (Professional Association of Volunteer Leadership Ontario). She is an active member and volunteer for the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce, Arlanxeo Community Advisory Committee and the current Chairperson for the Sarnia-Lambton Social Services Network.
