Education Quality And Accountability Office

SANJAY DHEBAR

Sanjay is Managing Partner at Leonnova, an education consulting firm, along with being a highly rated faculty member with the Schulich Executive Education Centre, Schulich School of Business, York University. He coaches and develops senior leaders in organizations including Four Seasons Hotel, Siemens, Hoffman La Roche, TD Bank, NN Group, Mercedes Benz, Samsung, GlaxoSmithKline, Dubai Government and Sick Kids Hospital. Furthermore, Sanjay is an Adjunct Faculty at York University Schulich School of Business, and the University of Salzburg Business School in Austria. In 2022, Sanjay received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin for Community Service from the Government of Canada. Sanjay has authored a book: Toolbox for Performance Driven Leaders. Sanjay holds a BA in Public Policy and an MBA in Marketing. Recently, Sanjay completed an advanced certificate in digital marketing from MIT Boston along with a train the trainer certificate from Disney on Quality Service.

KYLE WILSON

Kyle Wilson is the Director of Information Systems & Chief Privacy Officer for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, and a former Department Head for IT Infrastructure for Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. His community involvement includes serving as Treasurer for the Burlington Tennis Club.

MARTYN BECKETT

Martyn Beckett holds undergraduate degrees in biology, geology, and education, and a Master of Science degree in geology. In addition to his MSc, he holds post graduate certificates in strategic leadership. Martyn Beckett began his career in education in 1990 as a secondary science and mathematics teacher. From there, his career advanced through progressively more senior roles as vice principal, principal, Superintendent of a family of schools, and Superintendent of Special Education, becoming Director of Education from 2008 to 2016. In 2016, Mr. Beckett moved to the Ministry of Education in Ontario to serve as Assistant Deputy Minister in the Learning and Curriculum Division and the Student Achievement Division, with responsibilities for curriculum, skilled trades, apprenticeship, leadership and governance, teaching policy, and Special Education, serving in this capacity until 2020. He has been a regular presenter on leadership development and improvement of student achievement.

YVONNE AKPOVETA

Yvonne Akpoveta is a Change Management Strategist, Advisor, and Change Leadership Advocate, with over 20 years of experience helping executives, professionals, and organizations to navigate through change in today’s fast-paced and disruptive environment. She is passionate about change and has worked with organizations such as RBC, TD, Deloitte, Loblaws, and JP Morgan Chase to lead and manage their Strategic, Technology and Change Initiatives. She is the founder of The Change Leadership, a series of events focused on preparing leaders and professionals to better respond to change in their organizations and industry. She holds a BSc honours in Business Information Technology from London Guildhall University, an MBA from Warwick Business School, and a Change Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. She works closely with executives and professionals to provide coaching and advisory to help them more effectively lead and manage change in their organizations and communities.

DAVID BELOUS

David Belous is currently the Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Public Engagement at Scarborough Health Network. In his role at one of Canada’s largest and most diverse hospital networks he has innovated the way hospitals partner with community and business to create a healthier future. He led SHN’s community COVID-19 vaccination strategy which delivered over 750,000 vaccines to some of the most vulnerable populations in Toronto. His prior professional experience includes serving Canada’s 22nd Prime Minister where he set a new standard for public engagement and spearheaded global trade and diplomatic missions.

DAN KOENIG

Dan Koenig was an employee at the Toronto Catholic District School Board for 37 years. He was a teacher, principal, program coordinator, Superintendent, Associate Director of Academic Affairs and Chief Operating Officer during his time at the Board. Dan was a member of the Council of Directors in Education and the Ontario Catholic Supervisory Officer Association. He also was the vice chair of the Catholic Curriculum Consortium and was a member of the Teacher Advisory Council for both York University and Ontario Tech University. Dan was selected as one of Canada's Outstanding Principals by the Learning Partnership and was inducted into the National Academy of Principals.
