ORMSTON, EDWARD F.
Mr. Justice Edward Ormston, of Toronto, was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice as an administrative Judge for Scarborough in 1989. In 1996 he was transferred to Old City Hall in downtown Toronto, Canada's largest provincial courthouse. While in Toronto, Justice Ormston established Canada's first Mental Health Court. Dr. Ormston is frequently invited to present at International Conferences of Law and Mental Health. He has spoken in Italy, Amsterdam, Holland, Paris and Australia. He has also travelled across the country, speaking at judges' conferences in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver and Winnipeg. Justice Ormston is also a friendly advisor to the producers of the CBC nationally broadcasted series This is Wonderland, a drama series that portrays the human and social problems within the criminal justice system of Old City Hall.
LESAGE, PATRICK J.
In 2004, former Chief Justice of the Ontario Superior Court, Patrick LeSage, of Toronto, joined Gowling Lafleur Henderson. Mr. LeSage began his distinguished career as a Crown Attorney in the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where he rose to the position of Director of Crown Attorneys for Ontario. He was appointed to the County and District Court and became Associate Chief Judge, Associate Chief Justice and in 1996 was appointed Chief Justice of what is now the Superior Court of Justice for Ontario. He held that position until September 2002, when he became a Senior Resident at Massey College, University of Toronto. Mr. LeSage holds honorary Doctorate of Laws degrees from the University of Windsor and Laurentian University.
BHATLA, RAJIV
Dr. Rajiv Bhatla, of Nepean, is Acting Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Associate Chief and a staff member with the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (ROHCG). Dr. Bhatla is also a member of the Ottawa-Carleton Assertive Community Treatment Team, a part of ROHCG. He holds a Medical Degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University. Dr. Bhatla completed his Psychiatry Residency at St. Vincent's Medical College.
NEWMAN, MICHAEL DAVID
Michael Newman is a lawyer who has had a private practice in the City of Vaughan since 1980. Mr. Newman has served as a community member on the Strategic Planning Committee, Governance Committee and Quality and Performance Management Committee of York Central Hospital. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the City of Vaughan Non-profit Housing Corporation. Mr. Newman is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario Bar Association and York Regional Law Association.
PETRIDES, PANOS L. S.
Panos Petrides, of Mississauga, is a Public Policy Consultant. Previously, Mr. Petrides was employed as a fee-for-service investigator with the Ontario Human Rights Commission, Regional Manager with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and a Policy Advisor with the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs, the Environment and Energy. He holds a Master of Public Administration in Health from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario.
CHAIMOWITZ, GARY ANDREW
Dr. Gary Andrew Chaimowitz, of Ancaster, is the Head of Service for Forensic Psychiatry at St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McMaster University. Dr. Chaimowitz is a member of the Professional Standards and Practice Council and a Secretary with the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
OPLER, SUSAN E.
Susan Opler is a graduate of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. Ms. Opler practiced litigation at McCarthy Tétrault, both as an associate and as partner. She has been a member of the Consent and Capacity Board since 2001, and Vice-Chair since 2005, with a leadership role in the board's administration, member training and outreach. Ms. Opler is a recognized expert in teaching adjudication skills to adjudicators in a variety of settings, both locally and internationally. For several years she was the lead instructor of the Adjudicators Training Course at Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators.
GRANT, BROCK
Brock Grant, of Toronto, completed his term as an adjudicator on the Health Services Appeal and Review Board in December 2004. Mr. Grant has had a lengthy career in the Ontario Public Service. He worked as Legal Counsel for a variety of ministries including the Ministry of the Attorney General, Culture and Recreation, Community and Social Services and Health and Long-Term Care. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
WENDLING, JOY
Joy Wendling worked for St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital from 1976 until her retirement in 2000. She held a number of positions at the hospital including Paralegal Advisor, Manager of Information Systems and Paralegal Services and Director of Clinical Records. After retirement, she was employed on a part-time basis by St. Joseph's Health Care as a consultant. Ms. Wendling has appeared before the Ontario Review Board and has also acted as agent for physicians appearing before the Consent and Capacity Board. She is active in her church and the Girl Guides of Canada.
ECCLES, L. DAWN
Dawn Eccles, of Thunder Bay, is a retired registered nurse. Ms. Eccles retired in 2000 as Assistant Administrator of Patient Care of the former Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital in Thunder Bay. Ms. Eccles spent many years serving her community, first as a member of the Municipal Planning Advisory Committee and later as a member and then head of the municipal council. While active in municipal politics, she served on the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority and the Public Advisory Committee to the Remedial Action Plan for the clean up of the Great Lakes. Ms. Eccles also served as Chair of the Northwestern Ontario Mental Health Task Force and was an elected committee member of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
RAMSBOTTOM, DAVID JAMES
David Ramsbottom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University, a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen's University, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1975. Mr. Ramsbottom is sole practitioner in the Hamilton area practicing in the area of family law, estates, mediation, and collaborative family law. He is a member of the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators, and is a legal member of the Ontario Transitional Audit Review Tribunal.
CHAMPION, LOIS
Dr. Lois Champion is a critical care physician. She serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and an Intensive Care Unit Consultant at the University Hospital in London, Ontario. In addition, Dr. Champion is a member of the Canadian Medical Association, member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and member of the Canadian Association of Medical Education. She earned her medical degree from Queen's University.
COO, DOUGLAS
The Honourable Mr. Justice Douglas Coo was called to the Ontario Bar in 1953. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1964, Senior Judge of the District Court in Toronto in 1979 and Justice of the Superior Court of Ontario in 1996. He was a member of the Ontario Civil Rules Committee for nineteen years and was a Lecturer of Law at the University of Toronto for four years.
LESTER, NINA
Nina Lester was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1988 and began her career practising corporate law. She went on to work for the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario. During the past decade, Ms. Lester has been actively involved in a wide range of community and charitable organizations. Her interests lie with issues of mental health, human rights, social justice, the environment and children's physical recreation.
GREGSON, NATHALIE
Nathalie Gregson, of Callander, serves as Children's Counsel with the Ministry of the Attorney General's Children's Lawyer's Office as well as a Sole Family Law Practitioner. Previously, Ms. Gregson was a Small Claims Court Deputy Judge, Counsel with the Children's Aid Society for the Districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound and a Human Rights Officer with the Canada Post Corporation Equality Rights Section. She is Co-Chair of Nipissing Collaborative Family Law and a member of the Legal Aid Ontario Appeals Committee. Ms. Gregson holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts from Laurentian University.

Erin Lainevool, of North Bay, was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002 and currently practices in partnership with Dennis W. Fenton. Previously, Ms. Lainevool was employed with the Law Firm of Lechlitner & Company and also briefly operated a Sole Proprietorship. She serves as a member of the Lindsay Weld Centre for Children and is Chair of their Policy Committee. Ms. Lainevool holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University.

For the past 31 years, George Maroosis, of North Bay, has been the owner and manager of K Bros Art Shoppe and Gallery. Prior to this, Mr. Maroosis was a Vice Principal and teacher with the Nipissing Board of Education, a teacher with the Oshawa Board of Education and a Councillor with the City of North Bay. His community involvement includes serving as Chair of Low Income People Involvement (LIPI) and past Chair and member of the North Bay Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation, Casselholme for the Aged/Cassell Arms Housing Corporation and the North Bay Crisis Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Nipissing University.

June Bell, of Barrie, is a lawyer. Ms. Bell holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto Law School. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1975 and was a sole practitioner for twenty years. In 2000, she joined Legal Aid Ontario where she served as Area Director for Simcoe County for three years. Ms. Bell is an active member of the community. She currently serves as President and Chair of the Morton Youth Services Board of Directors.
TURNER, JOANNE C.
Dr. Joanne Turner, of Toronto, is a Social Worker. Dr. Tuner holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Case Western University in Cleveland and a Master and Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has held positions in child welfare, psychiatric social work and marriage and family counselling. She has also worked in a variety of senior consultative and social policy positions and has taught in several schools of social work including the University of Ottawa, Laurentian University and Wilfrid Laurier University. She was most recently the founding Director of the Social Work programme at the University of Waterloo, Renison College. Dr. Turner is the co-author of Canadian Social Welfare.
MCKNIGHT, CONSTANCE
Constance McKnight has been employed as National Executive Director of the National Network for Mental Health since 1998. Ms. McKnight is a founding and active member of the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health, and is actively involved as a volunteer leader in many mental health and mental illness related projects and organizations nationally and internationally.
PATTON, LORA MARIE
Lora Patton graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1996 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998. She has worked in Toronto in the areas of health law, human rights, education law and social justice. Ms. Patton is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall teaching Law and Psychiatry. She is completing a master's degree in Critical Disability Studies at York University, and is an active participant in local and international academic conferences and public legal education.
PALLANDI, DEREK
Since 2000, Dr. Derek Pallandi, of Toronto, has been a Staff Forensic Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto and a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist for the Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene, Oak Ridge Division. As well, Dr. Pallandi is a general psychiatric consultant at Timmins and District Hospital and a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Pallandi is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canada and a member of the Ontario Medical Association.
SIMPSON, K. DAVID
For more than a decade David Simpson was employed as Acting Director and Program Manager with the Psychiatric Patient Advocate Office, an arms-length organization of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. He has a keen interest in social justice issues, human rights, homelessness, poverty, working with those who are economically disadvantaged, policy development and advancing the legal and civil rights of individuals with mental illness. He is a member of the Legal Aid Ontario Mental Health Law Advisory Committee and a guest lecturer in the Osgoode Mental Health Law Certificate Program. He has authored several articles on patients' rights, mental health and advocacy. He holds a masters degree in social work and has received training in mediation and conflict resolution.
BOOTHBY, DAVID
Since 2000, David Boothby, of Toronto, has been serving as a member of the Canadian National Sportsmen's Shows Board of Directors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Boothby was a Consultant for Giesecke & Devrient Card Security, a Task Force Member for the Ministry of Public Safety and Security Task Force on Reform and Correctional Services, and a member of the Toronto Police Force where he served in all ranks (1964-1995) and became Chief of Police for the Toronto Police Service (1995-2000). His current community involvement includes serving as Chair of Jake's House for Children with Autism Board of Directors, and President of the West Side Pine Lake Cottagers Association.

Since 2003, Dr. Thomas Hastings, of Oakville, has been self-employed as a fee-for-service Psychiatrist working primarily as an adult in-patient psychiatrist at Halton Healthcare Services. Dr. Hastings is a member of the American and Canadian Psychiatric Associations, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from McMaster University in 1998 and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto in 2003.
KELLY, BERNARD M.
The Honourable Mr. Justice Bernard M. Kelly is a Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice. Prior to this he was Regional Senior Justice for the Toronto region of the Ontario Court of Justice. He earned his B.A. from Assumption College (now the University of Windsor) and received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Justice Kelly was the founding director of the Quo Vadis School of Nursing and is a former member of the Metropolitan Toronto Zoological Society. He is a member of the Ontario Conference of Judges.

Roger Leclaire, of Ottawa, is a Crown Prosecutor in Provincial, Superior and Appellate Courts for the Department of Justice of Canada. He is currently Counsel in the Tax Litigation Section. Mr. Leclaire has lectured various courses in law, was a member of the Board of Trustees of Royal Ottawa Hospital and chaired several of its committees. Dr. John Bradford is Associate Chief, Forensic Psychiatry with the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group. Dr. Bradford is a well-known and respected authority in the field of forensic medicine, and also holds the positions of Clinical Director of the Sexual Behaviours Clinic at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, Professor of Psychiatry and Head of the Division of Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. He graduated from medical school at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and completed his internship and residency in Psychiatry before completing a year of post-graduate studies in Forensic Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry and Maudsley Hospital, University of London, England. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and a frequent author of research papers and journal articles in professional publications.

Prior to founding her own consulting business in 2006, Ms. Rasky spent seven years working in both the public and private sectors as a Government Relations professional. Her primary area of interest is healthcare. Ms. Rasky is a Member in Good Standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Dr. Ed Rotstein, of Hamilton, is currently Consultant Psychiatrist at Niagara Health Services, Clinical Director of Hamilton Assertive Community Treatment and Community Schizophrenia Service, Clozapine Clinic. He is also Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McMaster University. Dr. Rotstein is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Jewish Genealogical Society.
COOK, PETER EMILE
Peter E. Cook, of Hamilton, received his B.Sc. from Dalhousie University and his medical degree in 1974 from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Cook completed his psychiatric residency training at Yale University in 1982. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Since 1982, Dr. Cook has been the Executive Director of the Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia, a comprehensive community-based psychiatric rehabilitation and treatment program. He is an Associate Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University and sits as a panel member on the Consent and Capacity Board and Ontario Review Board.

Dr. William Robert Surphlis, of North Bay, is the Staff Psychiatrist at North Bay Psychiatric Hospital and currently a member of the Ontario Review Board and the Consent and Capacity Board. Dr. Surphlis was Psychiatrist-in-Chief and Clinical Director at North Bay Psychiatric Hospital as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Western Ontario, Extended Campus Programs. He is a member of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
LAKING, JANICE RUTH
Janice Laking, of Barrie, has been a Community Member of the Consent Capacity Board since 2001 and a Citizenship Court Judge since 2002. Previously, she was a Secondary School Teacher and Department Head with the Simcoe County School Board and then was Mayor the City of Barrie from 1988 to 2000. Ms. Laking is an Honorary Colonel with 16 Wing Base Borden.
MALEY, WILLIAM ANDREW
Dr. William Maley is a Psychiatrist who has worked at the Kingston Regional Psychiatric Centre since 1978. Dr. Maley has extensive post-graduate training in psychiatric medicine and is a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen's University.
GEIST, ROSE
Dr. Rose Geist is a Child Psychiatrist and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. She is Director of the Child and Adolescent Medical Psychiatry Program and is based at the Hospital for Sick Children consulting to North York General Hospital and Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Her main areas of interest include medically unexplained symptoms, comorbid medical and psychiatric disorders and eating disorders. She has worked extensively with the Health Care Consent Act and published an article on the topic of Capacity to Consent to Treatment in an Adolescent with an Eating Disorder.
HODGSON, BEVERLEY
Beverly Hodgson has been the main caregiver over the past two years for an aging relative who has been diagnosed with Dementia and assessed as incapable of capacity to treatment, placement, personal services and property. In this role, she has gone from being a health care provider to a health care consumer. As a result, she has seen the health care system from both sides of the table. The experience has made her much more aware of the health care issues that patients and health care practitioners face at all levels of treatment.
MCLEOD, DONALD GORDON NORMAN
Donald G. McLeod, a Lawyer, obtained his LLB from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Bar in 1973. Mr. McLeod was a self-employed practitioner working in various associations for his entire professional life. He has served on numerous committees related to education and was an Area Captain for the Cancer Society for a number of years.

Elda Virginia Thomas, of Toronto, is currently Director of Just Us, an ecumenically supported agency working with prisoners and ex-offenders. She is also Director of Rittenhouse, an organization providing education and advocacy on behalf of prisoners and their families. Ms. Thomas has worked as a Probation Officer, a Psychologist and a Consultant in the Resource Centre for Developmentally Challenged Child Development Clinic at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
WALES, SHIRLEY R.
Shirley Rosanne Wales, of Richmond Hill, is a Professor of the Law Clerk, Court and Tribunal Agent and Paralegal Studies Programmes at the Business School of Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. She was an Assistant Deputy Chairperson of the Immigration and Refugee Board, a member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and Executive Director of Community Legal Assistance Sarnia. Ms. Wales has been involved in the community with the London Second Stage Housing and Neighbourhood Legal Services London.
ALLODI, FEDERICO
Dr. Federico Allodi, of Toronto, has been a psychiatrist member of the Consent and Capacity Board since 2001. He was a Staff Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry and a Senior Staff Psychiatrist/Director, of the Transcultural Psychiatry Program and Kensington Clinic. Dr. Allodi was also an Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto for 23 years. He has been a part of the World Psychiatric Association for the past 3 years. Dr. Allodi has received the Outstanding Achievement Award for Volunteerism from the Ministry of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation.
PASCOE, JUDITH
Judith Pascoe, of Chatham, is currently practising law in Chatham, Ontario. Ms. Pascoe has been legal counsel/panel member of the Office of the Children's Lawyer and is also a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court and sits on the Legal Aid Panel, Mental Health Panel and Family Law Panel. Ms. Pascoe is a Board member of Family Services Kent and serves as Pro Bono Legal Counsel for the Chatham-Kent Black Historical Society. She is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Kent Law Association.
STARKMAN, BERNARD
Bernard Starkman, of Nepean, is a lawyer and the senior legal advisor of the policy division of Health Canada. Over the years, Mr. Starkman has helped to improve legal protection for children and the disabled. He has carried out consultations across Canada on developing Criminal Code Protections for children and was senior counsel on the mental disorder bill, which he helped carry through parliament. Mr. Starkman has presented to the Ontario Psychiatric Association and the International Congress on Law and Mental Health on mental health issues. Mr. Starkman has been a member of the Consent and Capacity Board since 1994.

Philippe Capelle, of Ottawa, is the President of Capelle Kane Immigration
Lawyers Professional Corporation. Mr. Capelle received his LL.B. from the
University of Windsor in 1989. He has been a lawyer member of the Consent

Sandra LeBlanc, of Sudbury, has been the owner/operator of a retail jewellery store since 1976. Previously she was employed by the City of Sudbury. She has participated in the Scott Tournament of Hearts and served as Chair for the Canadian Cancer Society. Judith Potter, of London, has been a sole practitioner in family law since 1993. She works exclusively with shelters and agencies for abused women in London, St. Thomas and Strathroy providing impasse resolution, referrals to lawyers and resource programs, as well as providing advice on family law issues. She currently serves as an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Debra Waisglass-Bettel, of Toronto, attained a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's of Industrial Relations degree from the University of Toronto. During her tenure as a student, she won three monetary awards for academic achievement. As a graduate student she taught Industrial Relations as a teaching assistant. Her work in conflict resolution has led to employment with unions, management, government and in the educational sector. In 1996, she received a provincial appointment as a labour/management arbitrator/mediator. In 2004 she was appointed to the Clinical Ethics Committee at the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care.

J. Bernard Comiskey, of Chatham, has been a self-employed Barrister and Solicitor engaged in general practice since 1977. Mr. Comiskey was called to the Bar in 1976 and over the course of his career has regularly conducted trials as a barrister at all levels of Court up to and including the Court of Appeal. He has represented clients at several tribunals and since 1989 has acted as Deputy Judge in Small Claims Court on a part-time basis. PELLETTIER, JOHN RITCHIE
Dr. John Pellettier, of Guelph, has been a Psychiatrist Member of the Consent and Capacity Board since 2002. Dr. Pelletier, has held several senior positions as a Psychiatrist. He was the Division Director and Staff Psychiatrist at the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph for 15 years and was also the administrative director of the Specialized Psychiatry Division for the clinic. Dr. Pellettier was also an Assistant Professor and an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at McMaster University. Dr. Pellettier is the past-President of the Wellington County Medical Society.
GALE, SCOTT
The Reverend Scott Gale, of Marathon, received his Master of Divinity Degree from the Toronto School of Theology in 1990. Rev. Gale has been a Pastor at the Holy Saviour Roman Catholic Church in Marathon since July 2005. Prior to this he was a Pastor at St. Andrew's Parish in Thunder Bay and in 1985 was the Executive Assistant to the Solicitor General of Ontario. Rev. Gale is active in many community organizations. He has been involved in the City of Thunder Bay Task Force on Poverty and the Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem.

Roger Rowe, of Toronto, is a lawyer who runs a general practice in the Jane and Finch area. Mr. Rowe was a staff lawyer at the Jane-Finch Community Legal Clinic from 1989-1993. He is presently chair of the non-profit charitable organization Promoting Economic Action and Community Health (PEACH).

Teresa Michienzi, of London, has worked as a counsellor and art psychotherapist since 1990. Previously she worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist for 16 years. She attained a B.A, a Diploma in Art Therapy and a M.Ed. in counselling from the University of Western Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling Association, the Ontario Art Therapy Association and the American Art Therapy Association.
MARTIN, JOY
Joy Martin, of Belleville, has worked in social services and community outreach programs for several years. Ms. Martin has volunteered with the United Way and the Red Cross. She has also served as a school trustee and has extensive training in disaster response. She has been deployed by the Red Cross to assist with disasters in Canada and the United States.
DUNN, SHIRLEY ANN
Shirley Ann Dunn, of Toronto, served on the Psychiatric Review Board and the Ministry of Health's Review Board for Long-Term Care for five years. For three years, Ms. Dunn worked with the Economic Development Committee of the City of Toronto as a representative of community issues - liaison officer for the women's work centre. She currently manages the Emergency Food Programme in a downtown parish for persons in transition.

Paul Joseph DeVillers, of Ottawa, retired as a member of parliament for Simcoe-North in January 2006, after serving thirteen years in government. Prior to his political career, Mr. DeVillers practiced law in a number of firms in the region of Midland-Penetanguishene where he specialized in municipal and administrative law. Mr. DeVillers is an active member of the community. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa.

Jill Presser, of Toronto, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. Ms. Presser has been involved in numerous criminal cases with mental health components. She has appeared before the mental health court at Old City Hall on several occasions and has also appeared before the Ontario Review Board as counsel to individuals for their disposition. Susan Agranove, of London, has had a diverse career. Ms. Agranove was a teacher for ten years working with the Quinte Board of Education (1962-1964) and the London Board of Education (1964-1972). In 1979, she established her own management and consulting firm, Agranove Associates Limited. Since 1997, Dr. Stephen Joel List, of Dundas, has been a Psychiatrist in the Schizophrenia Inpatient Program at St. Joseph's Centre for Mountain Health Services in Hamilton, Psychiatrist in the Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia, Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McMaster University and Senior Scientist, CNS Division, Therapeutic Products Directorate, Health Canada. Since 2000, Dr. List has also been a Psychiatric Consultant for Hamilton-Wentworth Public Health. He has conducted community presentations on the use of antipsychotic drugs and is a past Grant Reviewer for the Canadian Psychiatric Research Foundation and a former Journal Referee for the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry.

Dr. Alison Freeland, of Carp, is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Freeland completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Ottawa where she holds the position of Assistant Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences. She is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Psychiatry. Her research and clinical interest is primarily in the area of schizophrenia. She is Service Director of the Royal Ottawa Hospital Schizophrenia Programme Assertive Community Treatment Team.

Dr. Dominique Bourget, of Ottawa, has been Staff Psychiatrist of the Forensic Service and Sexual Behaviours Clinic, Royal Ottawa Hospital since 1988, Staff Psychiatrist in the Schizophrenia Programme, Royal Ottawa Hospital since 1998 and Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Ottawa since 2001. Dr. Bourget is a currently a member and former President of the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. She is also a member of several professional organizations including the Canadian and American Psychiatric Associations, the Canadian and American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Since 2001, Dr. Jack Ellis, of Port Stanley, has been Clinical Director of the Forensic Psychiatry Program at Regional Mental Health Care St. Thomas and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Western Ontario. Dr. Ellis received his medical degree from Queen's University in 1981, completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa in 1991 and Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Royal Ottawa Hospital in 1997. He is a former Director of the Post Traumatic Stress Program, National Defence Medical Centre and is a member of several professional organizations including the Canadian and the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, the Defence Medical Association of Canada and the Ontario Canadian Psychiatry Associations.
HOLMES, CONSTANCE (CONNIE) W.
Constance Holmes, of London, worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General for 29 years. Ms. Holmes held positions as Registrar of Divisional Court, Office of Small Claims Court, Court Services Manager, Special Assistant to the Regional Senior Judge of the Southwest Region and Special Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Attorney General. In 1998, Ms. Holmes joined the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal as Vice-Chair where she was responsible for implementing the Tenant Protection Act, adjudicating hearings and supervising adjudicators in the London and Hamilton area. Her community involvement has included serving on Mission Services London and the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. She is also a founding member of Teen Girls' Home.
