COLLINS, WHITNEYWhitney Collins is a Homeopathic Practitioner with the Body and Mind Wellness Family Chiropractic Centre and Durham Homeopathy. Ms. Collins has served as an Advisory Board member of Sage-femmes Rouge Valley Midwives Community Advisory Board, and a member of the Association of Safe Alternatives in Childbirth in Alberta and La Leche League in Ajax. She holds professional membership with the Ontario Homeopathic Association and the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors.
CURRAN, JOHNJohn Curran owned and operated his own consultancy, Curran Consulting Inc., where he assisted municipalities in the devolution of the Ontario Social Housing Program. Mr. Curran also served as Chief Administrative Officer and Administrator of Social Services with the County of Essex. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Kingsville Golf and Country Club, and is President of the Essex Condominium Corporation No. 78. Mr. Curran was Director of Credit Counselling Services in both Brantford and Windsor. His additional contributions have included the Brantford Separate School Board, the United Way of Windsor/ Essex, and the Rotary Club of Windsor-St. Clair. Mr. Curran is a recipient of the 1985 Outstanding Board Service Award and the 1998 Ed Beaune Memorial Award.
DESJARDINS, KATHYKathy Desjardins is a self-employed Homeopathic Practitioner, and a Homeopathic Teacher at the Homeopathic Academy of Niagara. Previously, she was Planning Director with the Township of West Lincoln, and a Planner with the Regional Municipality of Niagara and the City of Niagara Falls. Ms. Desjardins' past community involvement includes the West Lincoln Library Board, the Agriculture Sub-Committee of the Regional Municipality of Niagara, and the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Fund Raising Committee. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Homeopaths and the St. Catharines Chamber of Commerce.
DUNSDON, JIMJim Dunsdon is the Interim Executive Director of the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities. Previously, Mr. Dunsdon was Interim Registrar of the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario, Acting Deputy Registrar of the College of Midwives of Ontario, and a Community Pharmacist with Pharma Plus Drug Marts. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Professional Examination Services, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Pharmacy.
GAJRAJ, EDENEden Gajraj is a Managing Partner with Strategy House in Toronto. Prior to this, Mr. Gajraj was Manager, Residential Mortgages with TD Canada Trust. He is a Director of Food Buddies, a non-profit agency that aims to eradicate hunger among children living in poverty. Mr. Gajraj's previous contributions include the Queen's College Alumni Association, the Malvern Youth Group, the Malvern Community Group, and Information Scarborough, Agincourt Community Services. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders.
GOH, LINGLing Goh joined the Natural Health Products Directorate of Health Canada in 2004. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. In addition to completing three years of studies in Homeopathic Medicine and Sciences, she also completed a year preceptorship to further her clinical practice. Ms. Goh is a professional member of the Ontario Homeopathic Association.
HARRIS, RONRon Harris is founder of the Canadian Institute of Homeopathic Medicine and the Canadian Coalition for Homeopathic Medicine. Mr. Harris has written many books, including The Science of Healing According to the Principles of Homeopathy. Although retired, Mr. Harris is involved with the Directorate of Natural Health Products and the Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council. He has been honoured by the federal and provincial governments, the Chemical Institute of Canada, and the Homeopathic Medical Council of Canada, among others. In addition, Mr. Harris serves on Health Canada's Expert Advisory Committee on Natural Health Products, and serves as Advisor to the Canadian Coalition for Homeopathic Medicine.
ILKIW, VIOLETTAVioletta Ilkiw practices homeopathy in Toronto, and is a faculty member at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine, where she runs the Homeopathic Remedy Trials and co-ordinates distance education. Ms. Ilkiw is also Program Manager at the Laidlaw Foundation, where she has been involved in supporting front-line, youth-led work and worked with emerging organizations. She continues to consult with groups to create meaningful spaces for youth to mobilize around issues that affect self and community well-being. Previously, she served as a Board member of the Ontario Homeopathic Association.
LLOYD-JONES, JOSEPHSince retirement, Joseph Lloyd-Jones has been engaged in consultancy in the areas of regulation and advancement of professions, accountability and transparency, health care quality assurance, and public protection governance. Mr. Lloyd-Jones was Assistant Vice-President of the University of Ottawa for fifteen years, and lectured as Adjunct Professor of Management at the University for over fifteen years. Previously, he served as a member of Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and a member of the Discipline and Appeals Committees of the Real Estate Council of Ontario. In addition, Mr. Lloyd-Jones is a Certified General Accountant licensed in Ontario, and serves as a member of the Committee on Professional Standards and Competency of the Certified General Accountants of Ontario.
MARTIN, MARGARET (MAGGI)Margaret Martin is a part-time Relief Nurse Manager and Nurse at Emmanual House Hospice in Hamilton. Previously, Ms. Martin was a Staff Nurse with Hamilton Health Sciences General Division and a Staff Nurse/ Charge Nurse at the Intensive Care Unit of the Memorial Hospital in Sudbury. She sits on the Board of Directors of L'Arche Hamilton, and holds professional membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
MILLAR, JOHN DAVIDDr. John David Millar is a graduate of Trent University, the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and the Dynamis School of Homeopathy. Dr. Millar has been in private practice in Peterborough since 1988. As an active member of both the Canadian and Ontario Naturopathic Associations, and the Ontario Homeopathic Association, he is board certified in both Naturopathic and Homeopathic Medicine. Dr. Millar is a Board member of the Council on Homeopathic Education and the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians. He is a teacher of Homeopathy for the American Homeopathic Medical College, the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine, and the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine.
MURIUKI, WANGARIWangari Muriuki has over sixteen years of professional experience in health and human services, and in particular, in health promotion primarily in the not-for-profit sector. Ms. Muiuki is skilled in the area of knowledge transfer and exchange, and social services. Currently, she is the Manger of Mental Health, Identification Programs at Street Health. Ms. Muriuki has served as a Board member of the Toronto Board of Health, Secretary of the Health Equity Council, and member of the St. Michael's Hospital Mental Health Community Advisory Panel. She is Vice-Chair of the Board of the African Canadian Social Development Council, and Chair of the Board of the Broad African Resource Centre.
PLOTKINA, LUBADr. Luba Plotkina received her Medical degree from the Lvov State Medical School in the former Soviet Union, and specialized in forensic pathology. Dr. Plotkina worked as a coroner for five years before immigrating to Canada in 1981. In 1997, she received her designation and training as a Homeopathic Doctor in Toronto. Since 1995, Dr. Plotkina has served as Dean at a homeopathic college, and is a founder of the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine, a not-for-profit educational institution.
SHARMA, BHUPINDERProfessor Bhupinder has been involved in health care for over thirty-three years; starting his career as a Homeopathic Physician in Government Dispensaries and continuing as a Homeopathy Medical Officer in charitable institutions. As well as being an educator and consultant in homeopathic medicine, Prof. Sharma has served as President, Vice-President and Secretary in various homeopathic associations. He is an active member of the health care community in Etobicoke and Brampton, having organized international conferences, seminars and public awareness meetings on health topics relating to homeopathy. Prof. Sharma has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the William Osler Health Centre's Community Advisory Council.
VINS, MIRSADAMirsada Vins received her degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto. She is a graduate of homeopathy, and has been practicing for fifteen years. Currently, Ms. Vins is Head of the Homeopathy Department at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine and is a homeopathic lecturer there. She is also a guest lecturer at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and has organized numerous seminars with world renowned teachers for the Toronto homeopathic community.
WARREN, KELLYKelly Warren is a Student Special Needs Driver with Langs Bus Lines in Strathroy. Previously, Ms. Warren was a Criminal Tactical and Strategic Intelligence Analyst/ Criminologist with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in London, Ontario and a Communications and Intelligence Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces in Ottawa. Her community involvement includes serving as a Community Emergency Response Volunteer member. In addition, Ms. Warren is a member of the Sir Arthur Currie, Royal Canadian Legion and a certified member of the International Intelligence Analysts.
