Function:  The Council will provide, upon request of the Minister, advice relating to macroeconomic forecasts and assumptions to be used to prepare the Budget and the related fiscal plan.

Membership:  The Council is composed of persons appointed by the Minister and chosen for their knowledge of Ontario's economy and for their expertise in economic analysis and forecasting. Persons employed in the Ontario public service are not eligible to be members of the Council.

Term:  Members are appointed for a term of up to 3 years.

Meetings:  Meetings are held in Ministry facilities.
