Function:  The corporation operates an innovative leisure facility that offers cultural and recreational programs in celebration of the province.

Membership:  The members of the corporation form and are its board of directors. The corporation consists of not less than seven and not more than thirteen members. One of the members is the Deputy Minister of Tourism, an ex-officio member. The remaining members, of whom one is a director of the Canadian National Exhibition Association, are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. The Lieutenant Governor in Council designates one of the members to be chair and may designate one of the members to be vice-chair of the board.

Term:  There is no limitation in legislation.

Meetings:  The board meets once a month at Ontario Place. Considerable preparation time is required for meetings. Committees require additional time.
